Panama Canal Al shared some photos he took on a recent trip to Panama City. Did you know that one travels NW to SE through the Panama Canal to go from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean? Did you know that recently the gates of the locks were changed from swinging style to sliding open and closed (like a pocket door) to accomodate longer ships?

AUTO LOGIN - Be sure that it is turned OFF on your laptop, iPad or iPhone. Go to System Prefs > Users & Groups > Login Options > Automatic login - select OFF
STRONG PASSWORD - use a mixture of Letters, Numbers, Symbols - avoid using a word found in the dictionary - use a Zero in place of letter O, number 1 for letter L, etc. MNEUMONIC DEVICE (use first letters
of a phrase of words) Example 2: A Stitch In Time May Save Nine! = A s i t m s 9 !
USB Encrypted Flash Drive - copy all your important documents, passwords, ID numbers into a portable safe, encrypted so that only you can open, see, edit or write to - password guarded so if lost or stolen, it cannot be opened. HOW TO ENCRYPT USB FLASH DRIVE Insert the drive into yor Mac - right (Control) click on USB disc image - in the contextual menu, select Encrypt - add a Password - eject disc and re-insert to activate encryption - to Decrypt just repeat the above process.
NOTE: If Encrypt option is missing in contextual menu, use Disk Utility to format your flashdrive for Mac using the Scheme GUIDE PARTITION MAP.
