SOME QUESTIONS WE DISCUSSED

Where can I get a Nest cam?

Ebay has new and used models + info

How safe are QR codes? Could they take you to an undesired website?

HPORTMUG.com
Pointing your iPhone cam at a QR code will first reveal the website URL address encoded before opening. If it looks suspicious, delete it.

Can I backup my iPhone to my iPad?

Not sure - files can be transferred . Read some more at Apple Support here.

NOTE: See how to backup your iPhone or iPad to your Mac computer here.

Is there a way to find and delete duplicate files on my Mac?

Yes - go to App Store and search for 'Free App to find duplicate files' - there are several. Also you could watch this MacMost video on how to find duplicate photos on you Mac.

How can I find the exact location of an opened file on my Mac?

At the top of the opened file window, right-click on the file name to reveal the 'Proxy Path'

Example:

Read from bottom to top to find location of file.

TIP

Short USB Drive (for a L-o-n-g Car Drive)

Sandisk 8GB Thumbdrive - found at various places on eBay for around $4

This small drive can be loaded with a couple thousand MP3 music files and played through most new car radio systems via your car's USB input slot and operated by the 'Media' control on the dashboard - easy to use and sounds great!

(Note: OK to leave in MS-DOS Fat32 format - just copy your MP3 files into it)
