HOW TO

Backup Your iPhone (or iPad) to Computer (but not iCloud)

1. Plug your iPhone into your computer via USB charger cable.

2. Unlock your iPhone with your passcode - a Trust message will pop up before your first backup.

3. Open up iTunes App (OS Mojave or older)

Note: For Catalina or Big Sur, the iPhone icon will appear in sidebar of any Finder Window.
You may need to download + install a very small update to continue backup)

4. Right-click on iPhone in Sidebar.

5. A pop-up message will ask if you wish this backup to be encrypted - this ensures that any passwords on your phone will be preserved if a restore is ever necessary.

6. Indicator shows backup progress.

7. View completed iPhone data backup.
