HOW TO

ADD A NEW FONT TO YOUR MAC OS

1. Find a Mac font you like on the internet at sites such as Free Mac Fonts. Download it to your Mac. Example of a free font style called Irrep:

download 34k

2. After the downloaded file is decompressed, it should look something like this:

3. Open the app Font Book found in your Applications Folder.

4. In Font Book, select File > Add Fonts ...

5. Find the new Font to be added, click Open.
The new Font should now be listed in 'All Fonts' in the Font Book.

6. Open a word processor such as TextEdit or Pages to try out your new font.

Note: Keep in mind that if you send someone a document that uses your new font, it may not translate on a computer that does not contain the same font.
