Customize Your Desktop
Use your own original photos or artwork, you can customize your Mac desktop.
1.In OS9, scan or import photos, or use Command-Shift-4 to capture an interesting image from the web. Try to capture a horizontal rectangle format similar to your desktop shape to prevent distortion. You could also create original artwork in any number of paint programs. All files should be converted to JPEG or GIF formats at small size. (Use the Clip2Gif freeware to do this with PICT files).
2. Open Apple Menu > Control Panels > Appearance > Desktop Tab
3. Click Select Picture.
4. Click Set Desktop.
5. Close Window.
1. In OSX, use Command-Shift-4 to capture a PNG file to the Desktop.
2. Open System Preferences > Desktop & Screensaver > Desktop > Choose Folder
3. Find the PNG file and choose it.
