TOPIC : ZOOM #2

Due to the pandemic lockdown in NY state, all public in-person meetings have been put on hold for awhile. So our Mac group is using an amazing free app called Zoom which allows online interactive meetings.

The latest version of the free Zoom app may be downloaded and installed on each of your devices at anytime by going to zoom.us/download (choose the Zoom Client app).

HOW TO ADD A NEW (OR ADDITIONAL) EMAIL ACCOUNT TO YOUR IPHONE

1---Go to Settings >

2---Passwords & Accounts >

3---Add Account > Check your mail provider icon

4---Continue to sign in to your account

5---Type in your email Username > [next]

6---Enter your password for that account > [next]

7---If all your info is correct, you will see options to select or unselect apps on your phone - the only one you really need is 'Mail'

8---Click Save - - Mail should automatically set up the new account on your iPhone and download a copy of your emails

ADD NEW EMAIL ACCOUNT
TO YOUR MAC COMPUTER

1---On a Mac computer, open 'Mail'

2---Click Mail> Preferences>Accounts>click +

3---Add Account > Check your mail provider icon

4---Continue to sign in to your account

5---Type in your email Username > [next]

6---Enter your password for that account > [next]

7---If all your info is correct, you will see options to select or unselect - only one you really need is 'Mail'

8---Click Save - - your new Account icon should appear in Mail.

TIP

HOW TO TAKE A PHOTO IN 1 SECOND WITH YOUR LOCKED iPHONE CAMERA

1---While iPhone is locked, press HOME button 1x to show time and date.

2---Swipe quickly from right edge.

3---Camera will open instantly to take picture. (see this video for details)

TIP

Apple Watch Emergency Call - if you fall or make a sudden movement with arm, the watch will ask 'Are you OK?' (One person got this strange alert a couple times recently while snapping a wet towel from a laundry basket to hang it up to dry).
