TROUBLE SHOOTING

ISSUE: Disk Image (.dmg) created in pre-Tahoe Mac will not open in Tahoe

Note: dmg opened OK in Sequoia on same computer

FIX: create new dmg on MBP with Tahoe -- then copy all data to new dmg on Tahoe. The new dmg will open on Tahoe as well as previous OS systems.

TIP

Speak text - highlight /select wordage in doc; then go to TextEdit > Edit > Speech > Start speaking)

Dictation

System Prefs > Keyboard >options > 'Dictation' (TextEdit or Pages) - Turn the Dictation mode on by clicking the 'fn' key 2X (lower left on keyboard)

FOR FUN

Stereoscope Pix - Make Your Own with an iPhone - take two shots of a scene with depth, first one leaning on left foot, 2nd one leaning on right foot; process and print at Walgren's or similar place (4"X6" - 29¢ ea). Determine which print was from left eye and right eye. Trim picture to overlap- use an old stereoscope to check out stereo focus; tape pix on back.
